What am I doing with a blog? I am the kind of person that loves to do things the old fashion way. I like reading from books, flipping magazine pages, digging in the dirt and touching fabric. I do as much as I can with my kids.ย But here we are with a regular report on the exciting and mundane details of our life as a family, movies I think about or my mutterings. Enjoy them and comment as often as possible.

Glad you could stop by. I enjoyed your work, too.
love your blog ๐
Thanks!
Oh, my gosh. When I wrote my first post, I spoke these very questions to myself. I was a journal junkie, a card writing fanatic and book lover for decades. Don’t ask how many! I believe this is the very reason you are writing this blog. All in all that is what makes you interesting. Thanks.

Love your tag line. Thats what I try to say to myself on a weekly basis. Anyway, thanks for stopping in and come back for more.

really nice blog, can I link to you on mine? I also love reading from REAL books, NO Kindle or Nook for me. I actually love the smell of a library book .. weird right? Thanks & peace ๐
Absolutely, link on up. I like yours as well. It was a good reminder.
Wow, it is surreal to see a blog with the same theme. Thank you for the kind comments and the link. All the best!
Thanks for stopping by. I have enjoyed reading about your journey in getting debt free.
Love your tell-it-like-it-is writing..it is really refreshing. Please keep it up:)
Thank you for stopping by!
Thanks for visiting my site today. I’ll be back to visit your again soon!
What a homey, down-to-earth feel you project!
I can hardly wait to read more.
I just checked out a few of your posts and am digging the combo of thoughtfulness and movies among other things. That’s just my style over at http://www.eduClaytion.com.
I will be back for more!
I stopped at your blog today and felt the same way. Stop by anytime.
Love your blog–am obsessed with fabric–I carry swatches around in my car (as pod). Love flipping through magazines, tearing pages out, and digging in the dirt, too. Is it something tactile, or about texture? Am focusing on texture when semi-re-doing my house…someday!
Have to admit I love fabric too. My stash is at the point where it really needs to be cut into. There is never enough time to get all ofnthe sewing done that I want or need to do.
All this time I was seeing your blog name on comment sections and I thought it said Notes From Rumbl(e)y COLLEGE! And I kept thinking, “Oh, I probably don’t have anything in common with a college girl.” After you commented on my blog about liking crafts, too, I thought, “Well, maybe I do have something in common with this “college” girl.”
Okay, so you are probably having a good laugh right about now, huh? (Or thinking, “Wow, that woman is DUMB!”) So, two things: 1) I need better glasses, and 2) I love to sew and get my hands dirty in the garden, too! I guess I have something in common with this “Cottage” mom, after all. (Loved your post on Bristol Palin!)
Considering the cold I am finishing, I can be forgiving towards you. My head has been swimming for the last two weeks. I barely have had a thought beyond “I am hungry” and “I am tired, let’s sleep for a few hours before going to bed.” Thanks for stopping by.
Hi! You were kind enough to comment on my post 8 Tips To Surviving Your Dysfunctional Family During The Holiday. I just wanted to circle back around and see how your holidays went. Thanks, Brian
Besides having a cold that didn’t break until New Year’s Week, I had a good holiday season.
Hey … for the longest time I just wrote for my own personal enjoyment. As a baby boomer, my writing was intitally pen and paper (no, not quill & parchment, lol) and when it became commonplace I moved on to word processing. Still, most of what I wrote was for my own consumption. It either ended up in a drawer, or a shoe box, or stored on a hard drive.
In short, I had no “audience” …
Now, thanks to blogging, I’ve continued to nourish my personal creative needs, and thanks to WordPress, I have proof (through their neat blog stats) that I also have something of an audience.
I’m still a neophyte compared to most, but I’ve only been at it since last April. If I were still writing in a vacuum, I’d probably be much less prolific, but seeing my blog stats grow, keeps me enthusiastic.
And I’ve found that visiting other blogs and commenting on what I’ve read is very rewarding.
As we say here in the South … come over and see me sometime …

Supergoddess Me
Thanks for stopping by. I will be over to check out someone so bold as to proclaim themselves a supergoddess.
Hello, Rumbly! You recently stopped by and gave me your encouragement and weight loss health tip (yogurt). As a baby blogger it’s always exciting when someone new takes a peek. I set aside some time this morning to check out my new visitor. I like your stuff, so much so that I have to stop reading and get back to my own writing! I will be back because I want to make comments on some posts. I’m off to email subscribe (because I’m old-fashioned too, not really certain of the RSS thing, yet). See you soon! Colleen
Colleen, Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to seeing your journey as you lose the weight. There is nothing like the joy of another inch coming off of the waist.
hey ๐ i love reading your blog I’m still new here though take care and looking forward for your new posts ๐

I forgot to mention the ABC Award comes with the requirement (suggestion) that you pick one word that describes yourself starting with “A” and ending with “Z.” I even forgot to do that. I’ll post yet another follow-up just to tidy things up on my end…
If you plan to ignore the award, which is perfectly understandable), ignore this message, too! ๐
Hi , thanks for stopping by my blog today and leaving a comment. I love meeting new bloggers this way; and enjoyed reading some of your posts, I’ll be back for more. Thanks again!
I was recently nominated for a Super Sweet Blogger Award, and one of the conditions of accepting is in turn to nominate other bloggers for the award. Your blog very naturally came to mind. ๐ Youโre not obliged to accept, of course (itโs a bit of work, but also a bit of fun) but if you do, you get to answer five Super Sweet questions (following), copy and paste the logo into your blog post, and nominate and notify a bakerโs dozen other bloggers for the award. In any case, thank you for your wonderful posts, and keep up the good work!
Super Sweet questions: 1. Cookies (biscuits) or cake? (or both?) 2. Chocolate or vanilla? 3. Favorite sweet treat? 4. When do you crave sweet things the most? 5. Sweet nickname
GREAT BLOG! I am following because I want to come back are read more and see what else you have in store!
Well, glad to have you and thanks for stopping by.
