Here it is – April.
All of those New Year’s resolutions are a memory. Well, for some of us.
My big resolution was to start completing things. And I have started doing that.
I fixed my couch with big pillows and small pillows, giving up on those pillow-backs that never stayed in place.
A long worked on needle craft project has been finished.
We finally bought a pretty day-bed frame for my daughter’s room.
The first chapter of my novel was critiqued by my writer’s group.
Starting this month we are back on a budget.
I have started work on the front flower garden the shape it better with the plants that are already there.
My latest accomplishment is making two new skirts to broaden my wardrobe options. The one not pictured has a black background with dark sage green flowers with red centers. The one pictured here has a white background with brightly colored swooshes.
Both can be worn with a black sweater and tank top. The other day I wore the brighter skirt with a red tank top and it looked spiffy.
What I need is a medium hot pink tank top to wear under the cardy. I could use some new shoes but that can wait.
For now, I am happy to get a few more things completed. Next up – a new dress for my daughter.
What are you completing so far this year?
Thanks for sharing and the reminder to stay on track. I am continuing along the journey to lose weight, exercise and eat healthier. I have scheduled blog posts out to about June and need to fill in the gaps and add photos. I have taken two trips and loved every minute of being away from the office. I think I am doing okay so far – ha! Have a Great Day:)
You schedule blog posts two months away?
Good for you, getting things accomplished and off your list! I’m a huge list maker, and love to cross things off! Even so, I always have the items that I struggle to get to. Why is that?! I’m trying to be more motivated to exercise and to get back on track with my writing projects. Thanks for the encouragement of a great example! ~ Sheila
I admit to being addicted to my lists. I got more motivated to exercise when I pulled a dress out of the closet I am not quite small enough to fit. I am considering one of those crazy diets to get rid of the last ten pound.
Nice! It’s great to check things off a list. I’m not a big list-maker. Hmm…maybe that’s why I often feel like I’m not getting things done.
If I do not make a list, I do not get stuff done.
I’m impressed. I don’t think I’ve actually heard of anyone actually completing their resolutions.
I am determined this year!
I am slowly taking lbs off and am surprised to find older jeans that fit again. I’m not so manic this time and have realized that I didn’t put on the extra lbs over night so it’s not gonna come off that way, either.
Great job you!!
MJ
I love it when something I used to wear fits once more. Congrats on losing that weight, especially after having foot surgery last year.
