Wordless Wednesday
Last week we took a lovely cruise on Lake Michigan to see the fireworks at Navy pier. Here are a few pictures I took before motion sickness got the better of me. However, after my 14 y.o. son was sick with the same thing over the weekend, I am beginning to wonder if I had the same thing that was aggravated by the waves. I was sicker much longer than I should have been.
Even so, here are some of my pictures of the trip. It was truly wonderful.
Such an enormous, windy lake. Yes, it would be fun to own one.
Despite living on the lake for a time and always being near it, I am always, alway amazed by its expanse.
The high waters shot is lovely. And ‘mine! mine! mine!’ Hilarious! Yes, I did read it in the tone of the birds.
The highlight of my summer? Watching the shuttle Atlantis take off, ending the age of the space shuttle.
Seeing the schuttle take off would have been the highlight of my summer had I been there.
Looks like a beautiful day! I love being on Lake Michigan. Bummer to hear you got sea sick.
This explains why, despite my desire, I will never be able to crew a ship during the Mackinac Race.
Love the mine!mine!mine! I’ve watched just enough Nemo with my boy to know wayyyy to many quotes 🙂
This was the best of the pictures I took of the seagulls. When I saw them there, that is all I could think of.
The best way to see fireworks! Love the reflection photo.
The Great Lakes remind me of the ocean- of course I’m a landlubber, but still, what wonderful vistas!
Exactly
Great photos – love the reflection of the moon. Sorry you weren’t feeling well!
That was my favorite photo even though it did not come out all that clearly.
Great shots. I grew up in Chicago and never did anything like that.
Isn’t it funny how we live someplace and never do the fun touristy stuff. My other Chicago sightseeing goals is to do the double decker bus and the boat architectural tour. Then I want to canoe the Kankakee with the family.
